GEORGE ELLIOT 1934 - 98 George Elliot was a student at Stourbridge in the 1950s. After his National Service in the Navy he won a scholarship to the Royal College of Art and travelled on a bursary to Scandinavia. On graduation he joined Stevens and Williams as a designer, moving to Stourbridge College as a tutor in the early 1960s.

George Elliott (1933-1998) was a pioneer in the British studio glass movement. George Elliott Glass - History He received his training in England. He had a studio at the Bewdley Museum near Dudley, Worcestershire, from 1965 to 1993. He conducted workshops at Bewdley and throughout the United Kingdom.

Here for sale I have a lovely piece of studio glass by renowned British Glassmaker George Elliott (famed for his work at Bewdley). This is a signed piece (slightly difficult to photograph!) and has a beautiful swirled blue design as well as a subtle yellow streak through the glass.. Overall the glass measures 4.5" high and 3" at the widest.
